The pCP Team has released an new version of piCorePlayer.

Significant changes
- Mostly a bugfix release
- Support for Pi5 on 64 bit image. For pi5, you MUST be running bootloader: e02d33b3 Dated 2023/12/06 or newer.
- Squeezelite 2.0.0-1476
- LMS default install is 8.5.1 (As of the time of this posting)
- Various bug fixes and web interface updates.

Notes
- For Bluetooth users, after installing, please update the Bluetooth extensions.
- Adding a file named
netusb
to the boot partition will automatically load/configure net-usb kernel modules. - Adding
wpa_supplicant.conf
to the boot partition will automatically enable Wifi—see Setup Wifi without ethernet. - See https://github.com/morrownr/USB-WiFi for some information about wifi drivers with linux in-kernel drivers.
- Significant changes to the GPIO subsystems. Especially on pi5.
Download
- Use RPi Imager Then launch with the following command.
- rpi-imager –repo https://repo.picoreplayer.org/pcp-rpi-imager.json
New images or insitu update are available. The released versions can be downloaded from here.

Older versions of piCorePlayer may not be compatible with the newer versions of the Raspberry Pi. You need to review the Release notes to determine when the support for your particular Raspberry Pi was added. It is safer to use the latest version of piCorePlayer as it will be compatible with the latest version of the Raspberry Pi.
